Reviewer asks: "Your result changed after you removed two outliers. Why should we trust it?" The points were removed only because they weakened the trend; no measurement error was documented.

1. Post-hoc removal is not defensible.
2. Show analyses with and without points.
3. Predefine future exclusion criteria.
